Return of the great cable debate

At the end of last year, I switched from HBO to Showtime so I could watch Dexter. Then it ended, and I switched back because there wasn't really anything else I cared about watching on Showtime.

Rome is now on on HBO, and it's not great but usually worth watching. Now that's about to end. Deadwood is coming back as two two-hour movies, but no series. I don't watch The Sopranos or Curb Your Enthusiasm or Entourage or Extras. So I'm having a hard time convincing myself that I need to keep HBO after Rome ends.

However. Coming soon on Showtime: This American Life, The Tudors, and (eventually) the second season of Dexter.

So I suspect that I'll be canceling HBO on or about March 26th.
